RAAC Memorial and Army Tank Museum in Seymour is a popular tourist destination. The museum has 70 Armoured Fighting Vehicles on display in Hopkins Barracks, the home of Australian Armour at Puckapunyal, Victoria. The museum is one of the largest armour museums in the Southern hemisphere and is home of the Annual Alternative Farming Expo in Seymour.
The recently opened Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail begins in Tallarook which is close to the town. Seymour is also home to the newest attraction in town The Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk. It’s the only one of its kind in Australia dedicated to Vietnam Veterans.
Seymour Railway Heritage Centre on the other hand, operates as special heritage rail passenger services throughout Victoria utilising its extensive fleet of preserved diesel locomotives and makes locomotives available for hire and long term lease to private operators. Great for private parties and intimate gatherings.
The depot is now the home of the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre. The heritage centre has a large collection of vintage and heritage locomotives, diesels and rolling stock that is opened to the public on a regular basis for viewing.
